In 2017, China Association for Quality (CAQ), as a representative of quality organizations in China, initiated to set up Belt and Road International Quality Alliance (BRIQA) with the purpose to "inherit the Silk Road spirit, create a win-win sharing, and take the lead in quality service", forming multilateral cooperation mechanism, creating a communication platform for the outstanding enterprises from the countries along the belt and road to achieve quality improvement and excellence operation, strengthening interaction, sharing advanced quality management experience, and building up Belt and Road quality circle for the well-being of human. As the Alliance Secretariat, CAQ takes the responsibility of providing necessary support to facilitate the smooth development of activities after the establishment of the Alliance. The first Belt & Road International Quality Forum was held in Sep. 19, 2018 in Almaty, Kazakhstan during the ANQ congress, with the theme of “Co-building Quality and Shining the Belt & Road”.
